Job Overview:
The Retail Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all YVIS offline stores ensuring operational excellence, strong sales performance, and a consistently joyful brand experience for every customer. This role leads store operations, staffing, customer service, visual merchandising, and new store openings, ensuring each YVIS location reflects the brand’s DNA .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Retail Operations Management
    • Oversee daily operations of all YVIS stores, ensuring smooth performance, visual standards, and brand presentation.
    • Set and monitor sales targets, KPIs, and operational budgets for each location.
    • Supervise store performance, sales reports, and customer feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
    • Conduct regular store visits to evaluate performance, cleanliness, and service quality.
    • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for retail operations.
  • People Management & Customer Experience
    • Recruit, train, and manage all store staff — including Store Supervisors, Sales Associates, and Customer Service teams.
    • Build a motivated, service-driven retail culture focused on happiness, confidence, and empathy.
    • Conduct regular training sessions on product knowledge, customer service, and sales techniques.
    • Evaluate staff performance and develop incentive programs to boost engagement and productivity.
    • Ensure every in-store customer interaction upholds the YVIS brand experience.
  • Visual Merchandising & Store Presentation
    • Collaborate with the Art Director and Creative Team to implement VM guidelines and seasonal displays.
    • Ensure each store’s layout, signage, and product arrangement align with campaign visuals and collection themes.
    • Maintain brand consistency in product presentation, window displays, and in-store visuals.
    • Monitor product rotation and inventory presentation to maximize sales and minimize clutter.
  • Retail Performance & Coordination
    • Work with Business Development and Inventory Managers to manage stock planning and store replenishment.
    • Collaborate with Marketing for retail campaigns, in-store activations, and promotions.
    • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales metrics — analyzing performance by store, product category, and staff.
    • Identify high-performing locations and replicate best practices across other stores.
    • Provide management with monthly performance reports and recommendations.
  • New Store Openings & Expansion
    • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of new store openings, from layout to launch.
    • Coordinate with Business Development on site selection, lease timelines, and launch plans.
    • Work with Creative and VM teams to ensure store aesthetics reflect the YVIS brand identity.
    • Oversee vendor coordination, fixture setup, and visual installation.
    • Manage staff recruitment, training, and handover before each store opening.
    • Ensure launch-day operations run smoothly with full readiness on inventory, display, and service.
  • Pop-Up & Event Operations (NEW)
    • Plan, coordinate, and execute pop-up stores, roadshows, and special retail events (e.g. mall pop-ups, seasonal campaigns, brand activations).
    • Oversee end-to-end pop-up operations:
      • Timeline & checklist planning
      • Booth setup & teardown
      • Staffing, shifts, and training
      • Stock preparation, replenishment, and return
    • Ensure pop-up execution follows brand standards, VM guidelines, and service quality.
    • Coordinate with Mall Management, Marketing, Creative, and Logistics teams.
    • Monitor sales performance, stock accuracy, and daily reports during pop-up events.
    • Handle on-site problem solving (staff issues, stock gaps, mall rules, customer complaints).
    • Conduct post-event performance reviews (sales, best sellers, staffing efficiency, learnings) and propose improvements for future pop-ups.

Qualifications:

  • 3–6 years of experience in retail operations management (fashion, jewelry, or lifestyle brands preferred).
  • Proven track record of managing multiple retail stores and store teams.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid understanding of sales operations, inventory flow, and customer service management.
  • Excellent coordination skills with cross-functional teams (Creative, Marketing, BD, Inventory).
  • Experience in new store openings and visual merchandising is highly preferred.
  • Passionate about fashion, customer experience, and brand excellence.
