Key Responsibilities:
- General Bookkeeping
- Ensure proper and timely accounting entries in SAP per company guidelines.
- Maintain compliance with local and IFRS accounting standards, as well as local tax laws.
- Monitor changes to accounting and tax regulations and evaluate their impact on company procedures.
- Continuously improve processes and keep policies, guidelines, and instructions updated.
- Ensure SAP/CMS reconciliations of portfolio and other balances are completed.
- Contribute to designing effective internal controls to prevent fraud and errors.
- Oversee CMS system testing to ensure correct accounting postings.
- Tax Reporting
- Ensure correct and timely tax filing and processing for Corporate Income Tax, VAT, Withholding Tax, and other applicable taxes.
- Act as the key coordinator with the Revenue Department for tax matters such as VAT, withholding tax, and CIT refund processes.
- Financial Reporting
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for local and global management.
- Oversee audit matters and ensure internal coordination with other departments.
- Participate in company improvement projects and system enhancements.
- Coordinate and implement operational process improvements with a financial reporting impact.
- Implement measures to address significant internal control deficiencies and corporate audit findings.
- Ensure treasury administrative tasks are completed, including processing bank guarantees, opening/closing bank accounts (paperwork), and updating LoAS and electronic banking access rights.
- Personnel Management
- Lead, motivate, and develop employees through performance evaluations and goal setting.
- Ensure effective internal communication and compliance with company regulations.
- Provide necessary training and compliance instructions to employees.
- Oversee proper implementation of Finance and Controlling regulations.
- Ensure Finance & Controlling team adheres to all group and local policies, safety regulations, and defined processes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or Master’s degree in Business-related fields.
- Minimum of 10 years of work experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Audit experience from a Big 4 firm with a CPA certification is an advantage.
- Must possess a CPD license.
- Experience in the financial services industry is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work productively in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
- Proactive attitude with strong problem-solving skills.
- Leadership competency with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- High proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
- Ability to collaborate with expatriate CFOs and international colleagues.
Specific Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong knowledge of finance, controlling, reporting, and analysis.
- Solid understanding of financial accounting principles.
- Experience with group reporting package submissions.
- Proficiency in IFRS, VAT, and relevant Thai tax laws.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and SAP.
- Ability to manage complex projects effectively.
