Sourcing & Production Manager

Job Overview:
The Production & Sourcing Manager is responsible for end-to-end supply chain execution, from supplier sourcing to final product delivery — while continuously designing, improving, and optimizing workflows across sourcing, production, and quality control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership & Management
  • Lead, manage, and develop the Sourcing & Production team
  • Define team structure, roles, and clear responsibilities
  • Conduct regular check-ins, feedback sessions, and performance reviews
  • Ensure smooth collaboration between:
    • Design
    • Marketing
    • Inventory / Warehouse
  • Turn current team into a structured, scalable function
• Supplier Sourcing & Strategic Management
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers
  • Benchmark suppliers on cost, quality, speed, flexibility
  • Negotiate pricing, MOQ, lead times, and terms
  • Build long-term partnerships and backup supplier options
  • Implement supplier scorecards and performance tracking
• Production Planning & Execution
  • Own production planning across all product categories
  • Align timelines with launch calendar and campaigns
  • Ensure on-time delivery and minimize delays
  • Manage supplier capacity and production scheduling
  • Optimize batch sizes vs demand and cash flow
• Work Process Optimization
  • Redesign workflows across: Sourcing → Sampling → Production → QC → Warehouse → Store
  • Identify inefficiencies, delays, and bottlenecks
  • Build and implement: SOPs, Clear ownership per step, Timeline tracking systems
  • Improve:
    • Lead time (design → store)
    • Cross-team communication
    • Workflow visibility
  • Implement tools for tracking and accountability
• Quality Control & Continuous Improvement
  • Define and enforce YVIS quality standards
  • Oversee QC at:
    • Sample stage
    • Bulk production
    • Pre-packaging
  • Analyze defect data and identify root causes
  • Work with suppliers to reduce defects
  • Build monthly supplier evaluation reports
• Cost & Margin Optimization
  • Analyze product costing
  • Optimize materials, production methods, and packaging
  • Balance cost vs design vs quality
  • Support margin improvement with Finance team
• Product Development Support
  • Partner with Design team on:
    • Feasibility
    • Materials
    • Technical constraints
  • Suggest alternatives to improve cost, durability, and production speed
• Inventory & Supply Coordination
  • Align production with demand and forecasts
  • Coordinate with Inventory/Warehouse team
  • Support launch planning and restock strategy

Qualifications:

• 5–10+ years experience in sourcing / production / supply chain
• Experience in jewelry / fashion / accessories
• Proven experience in team management and leadership
• Strong background in process improvement / workflow optimization
• Experience working with suppliers and factories
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
