Role Purpose:
The Retail Project Coordinator supports the end-to-end delivery of retail store development projects across international markets. The role requires strong coordination skills, project tracking discipline, cross-functional communication and a working understanding of design and construction. Effective communication in English is essential to manage stakeholders, vendors and project partners across regions.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Project Management & Coordination
- Full project life cycle ownership, multiple methodologies from initiation to closure and ensure they are completed on time within scope and meet brand standards.
- Coordinate closely with international and local internal teams, external consultants, landlords, contractors and suppliers to ensure smooth project progress.
- Support the procurement activities including preparation of project budgets, tender documents and contractor / vendor evaluations.
- Coordinate closely with contractors / sub-contractors or site teams to work on time, smoothly progress and ensure delivery of result.
- Conduct, monitor and review project activities and ensure its completion within scheduled time and budget.
- Provide project management support as required on other projects.
- Provide project management support for other retail-related initiatives (e.g. store repairs, refurbishments, due diligence inspections).
- Technical & Operational Support
- Review design and construction drawings to ensure alignment with brand standards and site conditions.
- Support on-store readiness tasks such as furniture, electrical and plumbing checklists.
- Assist in store opening preparation, handover and post-opening follow-up
- Facilitate and provide oversight on consulting progress.
- Contribute to development and maintenance of store operations manuals and standard guidelines
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate project documentation including meeting minutes, progress logs, risk registers and completion reports.
- Ensure all project materials and communication are well-organized and accessible to relevant teams.
- Prepare and present weekly progress reports to associate project teams and relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Project / Construction / Facilities Management, Interior Design, Architecture and/or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Project Coordination, Project management, with experience in retail industry would be an added advantage.
- Familiar with design & construction drawings, project management methodologies and best practices.
- Strong leadership, good team player with a good interpersonal for team collaboration by positive thinking and attitude.
- Understand both the design and construction methodology and processes.
- Computer skills on AutoCAD, Sketchup Pro and MS. Project and Power Point.
- Excellent problem-solving skill.
- Good communication skill.
- Proven management abilities and be able to meet strict completion time lines.
- Interpersonal skill, fast learning, and passion to perform to achieve the set goals.
