We are looking for a Lifestyle and Food Writer to join our editorial team. This role focuses primarily on food, while also covering lifestyle topics across Koktail Magazine’s editorial and branded platforms. You will write engaging stories, attend events, conduct interviews and work closely with editors, photographers and the wider content team to produce high quality content across print and digital.
We’re looking for someone who is curious, proactive and comfortable working in a fast paced editorial environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Editorial Content
- Write articles across a range of lifestyle topics, with a primary focus on food, as well as culture, travel, fashion, beauty, people and trends
- Pitch original story ideas and stay up to date with emerging trends and cultural conversations
- Conduct research and interviews to produce accurate and engaging content
- Adapt your writing to match Koktail Magazine’s editorial voice
- Manage multiple assignments while consistently meeting deadlines
- Work closely with editors, designers, photographers and social media teams throughout the editorial process
- Event Coverage & Field Work
- Attend launches, exhibitions, restaurant openings and lifestyle events as assigned
- Conduct interviews and gather content on location
- Capture basic photo or video content when required
- Branded Content
- Write branded articles that balance client objectives with Koktail Magazine’s editorial standards
- Collaborate with editors to ensure every piece meets our quality and storytelling expectations
- Support the Branded Content Writer during busy periods
- General
- Be flexible, proactive and willing to contribute wherever needed in a dynamic editorial environment
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience as a lifestyle writer, journalist or content creator
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Strong writing, storytelling and research skills
- Good understanding of lifestyle media, food culture and digital publishing
- Able to work independently and attend events on your own when required
- Organised, adaptable and able to manage multiple deadlines
- Basic photography or video production skills are an advantage
